How do you deal with angry internet commenters? I mean, its one thing when someone disagrees with your opinion, but another when people get defensive and overly agressive (minding that what you are saying isn't bigoted or malicious). There seems to be a lot of these people online.
I usually get angry. I really don’t deal with it well. It’s one of the things that stops me from making anything because of how angry I do get. I should take a line from Mememolly’s book and not do anything about them, just let them rant. The reason why these people are so angry is because they are not having to deal with us face to face. You get any hater in public, and I’ve seen this, and they don’t just start shouting at you. They may be sarcastic or whatever, but because of the basic human qualities of being polite and dealing with people in your space who you don’t like, they don’t mistreat you (sometimes). When the walls are put up, that natural way of reacting to people is lost, and you just attack people.
